This has been so so so true in my life and something I remind myself of often. Especially when I get annoyed something doesn’t go my way!

I am a writer, blogger and host living in Los Angeles, CA with my husband Brian and French Bulldog Frank.
I started this blog in 2011 on the eve of my 29th birthday because I was feeling frustrated with the state of my life. In an inspired moment I compiled a list of 10 goals to accomplish in the 365 days leading up to my 30th birthday. Goals that I thought would bring me closer to the life I wanted-- and with that, 365 til 30 was born. That year was an incredible journey and truly changed my life. Since then, the blog has grown to include everything that happens after turning 30.
My professional website can be found here.
This lives in the back of my thoughts and pretty much on a daily basis, especially when I am being challenged, frustrated, stumped about the reasoning something is not working in my favor. Great Share – Great Reminder – Happy Day 🙂
Amazing words. So true, so comforting.
Oh reflection! I need to get better about noticing those ‘little things’ that ‘add up’ while they are happening. I know you can’t always see them and that’s why reflection can be so great but it’s still something I need to work towards 🙂
I try to remember this every day. Recently a job offer fell through for my husband that we were getting really excited about. After we got over the initial disappointment, I reminded him that we can’t see it now, but at some point in the future we will find out why this wasn’t supposed to happen. It doesn’t always make it easier, but the perspective brings me back to reality.
This is so very true! I was thinking a lot of these thoughts as I wrote up my interview for you, because looking back on 30, some of the most difficult things I encountered during that time, brought me to blogging and other wonderful things that never would have happened without them. Such a great ‘big-picture’ reminder ❤
So true!
