vision boarding

11 Dec

If you have been reading my blog since the beginning you know by now I am a fan of vision boarding. Come to think of it, 365 til 30 was one big vision board! I love setting intentions and I love seeing them visually each day. It helps me remember what I am working towards. I have even gotten Brian into vision boarding. I know…hard to believe, huh? We have even created a tradition at our house each year…we spend New Years Day….vision boarding for the new year…eating bagels and lox…drinking champagne and watching movies. It really is my favorite day all year. There is so much promise in the exercise. As I am writing this I am staring at my vision board from last year. I have had it displayed in front of my desk ever since. As you can see from it…some are long-term goals (like those super cute little babies, finishing my book & screenplay) and some were short-term goals for the year (a new house, Frank, writing opportunities, traveling overseas & getting married…check, check, check, check & check!)

photo-35This week I have found myself daydreaming about what I want for 2014. What I want my new goals for the year to be. I can’t wait to share what I have been thinking with you all…once I finalize my thoughts a bit of course! Do you guys vision board? I’d love to hear other people’s methods for making their dreams and goals come true.

In the meantime I will leave you with this…a text exchange between Brian an I. The fact that he even asked if I was being serious indicates he thinks I am crazy, right? I guess I can’t blame him. Although, it would be rather mean if we didn’t include Frank in our family tradition…don’t you think?

I love this! I’ve never done a vision board, per se, but I’m getting together with some new friends this weekend to plan a vision board making party! I figure, we could all bring magazines to share, drink some wine, and create intentions for the coming year.

Frank totally deserves his own vision board.

hahaha what will Frank’s goals for the next year be? More rawhide bones and squeaky toys? Get his own Facebook group started and become more popular than Boo the dog (I am obsessed with Boo)?

I have to ask if you have ever thought of printing images from Pinterest for your board? I do not subscribe to any magazine so trying to go to go to Barnes and Noble and get all my inspiration from what is on the shelves at the time is overwhelming. I am planning to spend my day doing my board, also with bubbles because, you know, every day should be a celebration ;).
