Ways in which to distract yourself while you are starving…
I’m three days into my five days of “fit into your wedding dress” green juice cleanse and I’m surviving! Truth is, day one is the worst and then it gets a bit easier. By day two I was on a high with all the energy. This doesn’t mean I’m not hungry or that I don’t have to hide in the bathroom while Brian eats his dinner every night…it just means I have more energy. I have found many ways to distract myself from the starvation the last three days….
1- researching Frank’s Halloween costume. Considering this is his first Halloween, I’m very excited. The top contenders…
thoughts? Any favorites?
2- doing wedding seating…which is a truly painful activity. I’ve had more fun at the dentist but it does pass the time when you are starving.
3- watching television with my boys. All our favorite shows are back!
4- organizing our kitchen to make room for all of our new wedding gifts. Seriously, it’s just insane the amount of fabulous gifts that arrive at our door each day. So blessed.
5) monday night movie dates with my momma and brother. We saw “Gravity” and it was INTENSE. Made me totally forget I was starving and also gave me nightmares.

Love the costume ideas! Since this is Oscar’s first Halloween as well i’ve been racking my brain trying to find the “perfect” costume when last night I landed on what is your #1 choice (the dinosaur headpiece). That was a winner for me. I figured hey at least it will make me laugh for a few minutes and I’ll get some adorable pictures out of it. (once I get it in the mail, I’ll take a pic and share). Also I hated planning our seating chart – I would rather put needles in my eyeballs then do that again. Good luck – so close!!
Oscar is going to look adorable in those dino ears!! You must send me a picture or share it. I imagine both Oscar and Frank will keep their costumes on for a short period of time but I agree it’s worth the laugh:)
You always make me laugh! I love all the costumes for Frank. Yoda is my favorite but that Napoleon is a close second. Will he keep it on? I admire your cleansing activities. I have never done a juice cleanse but think I should try. Right now I am sick with pneumonia and have no taste for food. I wish I had been prepared because all I hear is drink drink drink, and maybe drinking that would help me. What exactly does it entail? Is there a link to a site I can look at to get details?
Good luck and I can’t wait to hear how silly Olga feels when you look fantastic in your gown 🙂
and your comments always make me smile:0
SO sorry to hear about the fact you’re sick with pneumonia. You poor thing! Sending healing thoughts your way.
Despite a juice cleanse being difficult I always feel great after. I’m doing Pressed Juicery cleanse. They deliver it to your door and you either do a one day, three day or five day cleanse. You also get to choose between a bunch of fabulous flavors. It’s my favorite.

The seal! Or the Mexican!
Oh my gawd! For the love of all things holy, give Frank the opportunity to be a seal!
Rhino!!! I think I found Cholula a taco costume. Get it… Extra Cholula…
31! Eek
I love this post 🙂 I am list person though so I am a bit biased 😉 I think you should get the seal costume but they are all great! How did your juice cleanse go? I was thinking about doing something like this to get myself off of binge eating and sugar. Granted, when I binge it is always on peanut butter but, still, I’d prefer no binge at all. PS – I cannot wait to see Gravity! Looks really good.
