So ready for the weekend. Tonight we are going out for dinner with our friends Crystal and Brian…I’m thinking Italian. I’m thinking a big bowl of pasta to welcome in the weekend. All day Saturday we are tackling wedding stuff- the list is long my friends. Our wedding planner is coming over to discuss details. I can’t believe we are already at that stage. As of today we are 93 days away from the wedding. Say, what? Time feels like it is flying by at an incredible speed. Saturday night we will escape the wedding and hit the town for a friend’s birthday. Sunday we have puppy school which is pretty much the most adorable hour ever. Seriously, if you are ever in a bad mood find your nearest puppy school. It’s impossible not to smile. Oh and Sunday afternoon we are meeting my old roommate Alex for afternoon beers. We will probably wrap up the day with more wedding stuff. Because, that’s how we roll over here right now.
What inspired me this week?
George Saunders’s advice to graduates
new ideas about 365 til 30
sending my personal essay in to a magazine. I’m visualizing seeing it in print.
researching honeymoon destinations. This week we are all about Chile. We can’t seem to make up our minds!
What am I grateful for this week?
new energy on projects
the women in my life for planning my bachelorette weekend and bridal shower
my little buddy Mr. Frank
What surprised me this week?
our first wedding gift arrived in the mail! Getting married is fun
how scared Frank was of the big dogs at puppy kindergarten. He ran straight back to me and whined to be picked up
getting a call from Big Brothers Big Sisters about setting up an interview a year after I turned in my application. finally
getting an email from one of the people we trekked Nepal with!

I read your post too quickly and at first thought you said you received an email from someone you “twerked” with.
Thought you’d get a kick out of the visual I had going on. I was all “hhmmmm, never pictured her as a twerker.”
Hope you decide to participate as a Big Sister. I was one for a year and 22 years later we’re still friends.
Really! That’s beautiful!
Chile, chile, chile! It’s such an amazing country (biased) 🙂 have a great weekend, Kate!
Life is so much fun isn’t it. Where are you going for your bachelorette weekend? Wow did not do things like that when I got married in 69. When is your shower and are you registered anywhere? xoxoxoxo
…and what a lovely Italian dinner it was! ❤ I must say though, Frank really does need a bit of training HAHAHAHAHHA!!
