INSPIRATIONS, GRATITUDE & SURPRISES
Yesterday it dawned on me that I haven’t done an “inspirations, gratitude & surprises” post in a long time. When I looked it up I was surprised to learn that I haven’t done one since day 146!!! What a slacker, huh?! I used to do them every Friday and then I just stopped. I think “happy posts” took over. Happy posts are great too but I miss reflecting on the things that make me feel inspired, grateful and surprised! So I am going to jump back in.
-What inspired me this week?-
Passion Pit music especially this song
this quote- “We always attract into our lives whatever we think about most, believe most strongly, expect on the deepest level, and imagine most vividly.” – Shakti Gawain
When I looked at a finished writing assignment and realized I was proud of myself. One foot in front of the other.
-What am I grateful for this week?-
My new living room rug. I mean it’s amazing huh??
That I live 3 blocks from the beach. Walking on the beach is such a great way to start the day and clear my head.
landing 3 new freelance clients!
I have said it before but I will say it again. I am so grateful for my girlfriends. Each one is a light in my life.
The Bri guy– he’s my best friend and my favorite human
-What surprised me this week?-
How much better I have gotten at sticking up for myself and speaking my truth.
this note I received from my friend Chantal-
I am so proud of the dreams, the journey and the wishes you have embarked upon when you started this blog, and all that you have come to accomplish. You have shared so much in these past few months with us; your readers, and inspired us each
step of the way. Not only by allowing us to see that through the intent of the action all is possible, but to always stay the course even when things look dim, dark and unachievable.
And that perhaps the lessons learned and greatest achievements came in the process not the finished result. I love you

What have you been inspired by this week? What are you grateful for this week? What surprised you this week??? I’d love to hear! Please comment below!
Great post – thanks for sharing! I am inspired by my photography this week. I was surprised in having x-rays done yesterday on my lower spine and hoping for good news (fingers crossed). Have a Great Weekend:)
Don’t you love it when you can inspire yourself with your own art! Sorry to hear about your x-rays:( I will be keeping my fingers crossed as well. Hope you have a lovely weekend too
Somehow I inspired myself to start learning Photoshop and submit a possible guest post to LA Family this week. Even if I fail, I can at least say I tried and that I saw something to fruition. I like the change of pace on this post. Kudos.
I love this!!! Let me know how photoshop goes…it is definitely something I should learn! Oh and congrats on the guest post you already have:) Happy Friday!
gratitude_ the support of my love. the satisfaction of a friend. the delight of a client.
I am a little bit jealous of the fact you live 3 blocks away from the beach ;p But I love this whole entire list…this week, I have been inspired by supportive friends who laugh with you when you get them lost in the woods (we weren’t lost exactly, but we weren’t where we wanted to be either! haha), by helpful strangers who help you move a lot of heavy stuff without expecting anything in return (took us only a half hour to load up the truck, yay!), and most importantly… sunshine! It has been such a rainy, dreary week… so it is so nice to see the sun again!
Very Sweet
I’m completely inspired by the people we’ve met on this road trip. As much as I love my homestate of California… we could really learn something from people out of state about being friendly to strangers. I’m determined to bring a little smile and happy wave back with me when I get home in a couple of weeks… Heck just the eye contact when you walk down the street! I’m sure you noticed the same thing on your trip. People are just different outside of big city LA. I want to bring that small town pace home 🙂
Glad you take the time to give some online love to the people and items that matter most to you. No one should ever feel taken for granted.
Kate: I am grateful for a friend like you!
