ROAD TRIP
I am a BIG fan of making lists. I find it’s the only way to quiet my brain! Throughout my day I jot things down on different lists- I have 11 (yes 11) different lists going right now. They vary from “work things” to “house things” to “songs I like” to “365 til 30 book ideas” to “life goals” to “things to buy at cvs”- can you tell I also like to compartmentalize? Below is my newest list entitled “Road Trip Essentials”. I feel like it’s pretty thorough but I am sure I am forgetting something! My dad probably just jotted down mace and a gun- kidding Dad!!! Seriously though, does anybody have any brilliant ideas to add to the list?
buddha box zen meditation music!!!!! Im thinking for that long 14 hour drive day….ha! i kid i kid 😉
HA! I would run the car off the road if I had to listen to that for 14 hours straight! 🙂
It’s a beautiful thing to be efficient, organized and diligent. Thanks Kate
Thanks Stephanie!
Love that a corkscew is on your list! Having just done a road trip from Minnesota to Texas, the most important things I learned were to stay caffeinated at all times and, because of that, take lots of bathroom breaks! 🙂 No matter what, just have fun and enjoy the ride!
Thanks Manda!! 🙂 Hey, you never know when you need a corkscrew! HA
Maybe a bottle of travel wash for clothes? If you intend not to take many you could wash them out every couple of days?
ooooh! that’s a good one!
thought of something else! Carrier bags in the car for rubbish – sweet wrappers, banana skins…….
Another good one!!
Bathrooms that are reliably pretty clean? Subway. Homemade trail mix, and what about a real camera?
u r so CUTE!!! …and mega cool 🙂
A small set of binoculars. And an unbreakable sense of humor.
Laptop and charger!!!
Double digits! Has it really been that long since I have been on your site??? Sorry, Hunger Games trilogy took over my life for a while….
All that to say, SO GREAT to get caught up here. Highlight for me is the pic of Brian in the empty showroom w/his art – I got choked up and I’ve never even met the guy!
Can’t wait for your road trip. You are a star!
Hahaha my photographer in crime, Valerie is also a big fan of lists. I’ve learned that lists are essential to road trips. As much as I tease her, without her extensive lists we would be much more chaotic than we already are!
