It’s starting to happen…I’m starting to loose sleep over the road trip because I am so damn excited about it!!! I seriously can’t stop thinking about it- I’m obsessed. I’ve already fallen in love with each city- I’m in love with the history, the restaurants, the hotels, the people, the food, the music….everything about this trip excites me. I simply can’t wait to be on the open road with Rachel! I’m so excited to write my way across the country.
I’ve gone mad!! Why can’t it be April 12th yet?

OH EM GEE we are actually GOING too all of these places! I am soo excited!!
You will love it. When Jen was in high school we did it twice from New Jersey to California and back. We had so much fun and did so many wonderful things. It will always be an amazing memory for Jen, Rachel & Myself. New Mexico was an absolute favorite. The art, the colors. But how can you choose:)
Oh, it was a girl trip:) On one of them we even took one of Jen’s friends too.
That sounds so fun!!!!!! What a cool mom you were…:)
I am envious for for sure.
Are you going to Cumberland Island?!? That is on my list! You will love the blue doors in NM! I stayed at the Galisteo Inn years ago on a mixed camping/hotel trip. We would camp for 2-3 days and then, with the money we saved, book a luxe inn for a night to lounge in the slower and down comforter. Then, it was back to campsites. This combo plan really worked. Camping made us appreciate the comfort of the beautiful inns, and the inns maximized our enjoyment of the inns. Anyway, NM is to-die-for. The Santa Fe Cooking School was a blast and I loved Taos. Have fun and looking forward to the photos.
I am going to Cumberland Island!!! I’m pretty excited about the wild horses thing. The BBQ shrimp place you mentioned in New Orleans sounds delicious….yum! Thank you for your tips!
I meant to type: . . .inns maximized our enjoyment of (returning to) campsites.
P.S. Don’t miss the barbecue shrimp place in New Orleans where they tie a bib around your neck as soon as you sit down. Wish I could remember the name, but it’s where all the celebs who dine there leave their autographed photos for the wall.
Your blog is really great little lady 🙂
i want to go. man i am jealous
Cafe Du Monde is seriously UH-MAZING! I went through delicious food withdrawal when I left New Orleans. I can’t wait to go back in May!!! You’ll love it ^^
