It’s so much fun to be almost 30!! My oh my, how my weekends have changed as I have gotten older. Gone are the days of staying out till 2am and getting into trouble! Welcome to the most exciting weekend EVER.
Both Brian and I have been working long hours all week. As I mentioned in an earlier post Brian has been on a major deadline at work- the world of an urban designer is no easy ride my friends!! He also just found out that he is going to have a gallery exhibit for his photography work in two weeks, which is very exciting but sooooo much work to put together. He’s managed to stay in a relatively good mood this week despite working till 10 every night and all weekend. Bravo baby. I have been trying to balance my freelance work, 365 til 30 stuff and road trip planning- I had no idea planning our road trip would be such a process! I’m not complaining though…it’s been a fun process and has certainly provided some good laughs. By Friday night we were both so exhausted from our week that neither of us wanted to do much..so we ordered Indian food and collapsed in bed by 10.
Saturday, we both worked all day again but decided to venture out for a sushi dinner at our favorite little neighborhood spot-which I did dressed in sweatpants, hey I can only do so much. After dinner we picked up some ice cream and headed home to watch a movie. After flipping through our on demand choices we settled on Harry Potter, which is my idea of hell. It had to be the two sakes talking when I said yes to watching it. Ten minutes into the movie I looked and Brian and said, “I have absolutely no idea what is happening. What are they even talking about?? And what the hell is a muggle???”
He pressed pause (wouldn’t want to miss a second) and said with a totally straight face, “Imagine if you and I had a baby and our baby was a wizard…since we aren’t wizards we would be called muggles.” That’s when I knew it was time for me to call it a night and go to bed…it was only downhill from there…so what it was only 9:30…I’m twenty nine and I think it’s totally acceptable!
Hilarious! Sleep is the precious! You have your priorities in line :). Right there with ya.
Your dog is chilling so cutely.. haha!
3 words for this. HaHaHa.
You mean I’d be exhausted without my three kids??? 🙂 So fun to read. And so wonderfully comforting that I am not the only one who can’t stay awake at night!
Ah what a beautiful doggie… you’ve captured weekend bliss… 🙂
Wishing you both great success in all your work! Thank you for visiting and following the PCA blog, much appreciated. Visualization is an important tool for moving forward! Have a great weekend. Jay
