I started this blog in 2011 on the eve of my 29th birthday because I was feeling frustrated with the state of my life. In an inspired moment I compiled a list of 10 goals to accomplish in the 365 days leading up to my 30th birthday. My friend, Robin, was in NYC years ago pitching a film and noticed the cute concierge in his hotel. He decided he might be more interesting to her if he had a French accent, so he proceeded to start a conversation with the fake accent. Unbeknownst to him, Judy, was fluent in French and immediately began to speak to him in French. Then he had to admit to her that he really didn’t speak the language. Moreover, it was really hard now to get her to agree to go out w/ him. He was persistent, dropped the fake French accent, and ultimately prevailed in getting her to go out. They’ve been married about 30 years now. Great story, huh?
