What a fun and silly weekend away! When our camping trip got cancelled (I think I was the only one sad) Brian came up with the brilliant idea that we go to Pioneertown instead. Never heard of it? Don’t feel bad…neither had I. Pioneertown is 3 hours away from LA near Joshua Tree. It was built in 1946 as a movie set for Western movies. It literally feels like you are being transported to the old west when you are there! It’s amazing and totally ridiculous. Our friends Mike and Loni joined in for the adventure and they happen to be the most easy-going couple to travel with so it was perfect. We explored, ate (way too much), drank, danced, laughed and even played in the snow! I was not expecting to see snow on this trip and it was a delightful surprise. It made me feel like Christmas was really around the corner. The weekend was so great in fact that I am having a very hard time getting back into the swing of things today. I think I have already checked out for the holidays because all I want to do is lounge around! Totally useless.
Kate, we had such a wonderful time hanging out with you and Brian this weekend. I love these pictures! And how did I not know you were playing Word Mole? I’m ADDICTED to that game. I was actually playing it while we were waiting for your purse.
Can’t wait to do it again. XO
You love word mole too!!!!! So happy to hear there is another addict out there. I had a great time too!!! I say next trip is to Big Bear:)
