THOUGHTS
I had the pleasure of having lunch with one of my nearest and dearest friends Ali yesterday. I always have AH HA moments when I’m with her. She’s smart, interesting and ALWAYS makes for good conversation. Yesterday, we got to talking about how important it is to be knowledgable about what’s happening in the world. I’m embarrassed to admit that most days I find myself more concerned with what’s happening in my tiny little bubble. That’s rather pathetic if you ask me. It’s not because I don’t care, sometimes it just feels a bit much but that’s no excuse.
Ali recently decided she would replace the time she spent on Facebook with reading the New Yorker. I was totally inspired by her and considering I am 321 days away from being 30 there really is no excuse to not making a serious effort to give a damn. Today I will read the paper, the New Yorker and The Week.
