After sharing “365 till 30” with my friend Rick he wrote back :
um wow, looks like you’ll have your hands full darling…easy now…:)
I rolled my eyes but then I realized that
1.he had a really good point and
2.maybe I had bitten off more than I could chew.
I spent Sunday a little paralyzed, not knowing what to do next. The birthday had come and gone. I was officially 29 years old and the proud owner of a blog titled “365 till 30”- where I listed ten lofty goals to complete in 365 days…for the world to see. All of a sudden I felt like there was SO much to do in so little time. Drastic measures had to be taken.
I informed Brian that our romantic vacation to San Francisco in two weeks was now going to be a camping trip. Luckily he’s a “go with the flow kinda guy.” Next question was where to camp. I decided on Big Sur, CA because I have always found it insanely beautiful. Not to mention I love the coastal drive up the 1 highway.
After hopping on the computer I quickly learned there are LOTS of people who thought Big Sur would be a pretty place to camp in two weeks. Every campsite I found online… booked! Who knew there was so many people who camped! There is a whole slew of people out there who pay to sleep outside. I am seriously baffled by this.
Just as I was about to lose hope Brian suggested I google “tent cabins, Big Sur” and this cute little thing popped up (picture above). This whole camping thing was starting to look rather appealing. Then I thought…is this cheating? I mean if I am going to cross camping off the list is this “Tent Cabin” not as bad ass as just a regular tent? I googled the definition “camping” and got this
Camping is an outdoor recreational activity. The participants (known as campers) leave urban areas, their home region, or civilization and enjoy nature while spending one or several nights outdoors, usually at a campsite. Camping may involve the use of a tent, caravan, motor home, cabin, a primitive structure, or no shelter at all.
So I think this “tent cabin” is acceptable! Camping here I come!
love it! can’t wait to read more!
